The wooden Greek Catholic church of the Holy Evangelist Luke, 1826, NKP
The wooden filial church in Krivé is characterized by its massiveness and simplicity. It was built in 1826 and dedicated to the Holy Evangelist Luke.
Concerning the architecture, this construction consists of three spaces, but because of later modifications the space is very compact. The church lost its three towers so typical for wooden churches of the Byzantine rite. It is built on a stone foundation with one tower and two crosses. In the tower are two bells, one of them from 1826.
The Iconostasis built in the 18th century has four rows. In the main row are following icons: Christ the Teacher, Theotokos (Hodigitria), icon of St. Luke, patron of the church and Saint Nicholas. The second row is the row of feasts, divided in the middle by the icon of the Last (Mystical) Supper. The Apostolic row contains six icons with the icon of Christ the High Priest in the middle. It is from the 18th century. The row of prophets with figures in pairs is probably also from the end of the 18th century. The Royal doors have two leaves, richly decorated with six medallions, depicting four Evangelists and the Annunciation scene. The Iconostasis is finished in the middle by small golden cross.
Besides that are in the church also three other precious icons: Baptism in the Jordan, Passion of Christ and St. Michael the Archangel.
Last major renovations were done at the church in 1965 – 1970. In 2003 the foundation of the church was renovated, and in 2006 the tower was restored.
